UNLABELLED: CLINICAL PRESENTATION AND INVESTIGATIONS: An 11-week-old female domestic shorthair kitten presented with a history of constipation since weaning. Abdominal distension was noted on physical examination and abdominal radiographs revealed a large volume of faeces in the descending and transverse colon. Colonoscopy was unremarkable and euthanasia was performed at the owners' request.

The aim of this study is to estimate the prevalence of intestinal parasites, in comparison to previous studies in Istanbul and different geo … i (5), Trichomonas hominis (2), Chilomastix mesnili (1), parasites which exist as commensals in the intestines were also determined. Enterobius vermicularis was detected in 129 (9%) out of 1423 cellophane tape samples. This study showed that the intestinal parasites are still an important public health problem in Istanbul.

A technique for measuring glucose uptake in the small intestine of rabbits was developed. Using this technique, the glucose uptake in the resting jejunum of rabbits and the effect of nicotine infusion on glucose uptake were studied. Experiments were carried out on fasted anaesthetized male rabbits. Four groups of rabbits (6 per group) were studied. OBJECTIVE: Small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SI-NETs) make up 38% of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. We report our experience with SI-NETs at the National Center for Neuroendocrine Tumors in Norway, focusing on prognostic factors and survival.
