Twenty-five patients were examined in vivo with 99mTc labelled monoclonal antibodies; 15 with suspected infections with an antigranulocyte antibody (BW 250/183), 10 with suspected recurrence of a colorectal carcinoma with an anti CEA antibody (BW 431/26). Both antibodies were IgG1 isotypes. In the patients with suspected infections no change of the peripheral leukocyte count could be observed after the antibody injection (1 mg, n = 9; 0.5 mg, n = 1; 0.25 mg, n = 6). Three hundred and ninety four consecutive out-patients with suspected deep venous thrombosis (DVT) were investigated with the 99mTc-plasmin test and physical examination and 307 of them with phlebography. Fresh thrombi were present in 124 patients and the plasmin test was pathological in 118 of these (sensitivity 95%). The dynamic analyses of bone scintigraphy were performed in 30 cases of hemodialysed patients. The regression analyses between biochemical data or duration and K indexes obtained from the 2-compartment model analysis in the maxillofacial region were carried out. Ga-67 scintigrams in patients with malignant diseases sometimes reveal uptake of the tracer in the bone metastases. Detectability of Ga-67 scintigraphy for metastatic bone tumors and benign bone lesions was compared with that of Tc-99m bone scintigraphy. Countable bone metastases detected by bone scintigraphy were evaluated whether the lesion showed apparent, faint, or negative Ga-67 uptake. The study of GER has been hindered by the lack of a good animal model and by the presence of some reflux in all normal individuals. By the painstaking process of studying normal infants, children, and adults, it is becoming evident that abnormalities of acid clearance, especially in the recumbent position (or during sleep), may be critical to an understanding of this disorder. As more is learned about the conditions surrounding "normal" reflux, it will be possible to refine the techniques of diagnosis and thereby identify the abnormal with more security.

A prospective study was initiated to compare the clinically proven results concerning localization/extent and activity of inflammatory bowel diseases with those of 111In-oxine leukocyte imaging. Radiation pneumonitis occurs 6 to 12 weeks after thoracic irradiation, and is thought to be due to direct radiation-induced lung injury. A case of histiocytic medullary reticulosis with splenic infaraction from a 23-year-old male is presented. Radiologic findings on selective spleen scintigraphy and abdominal CT are described. Selective spleen scintigraphy showed huge, multilobulated spleen with numerous photon-deficient areas in it and peripherally. Abdominal CT showed large peripheral band-like low density and infiltrative lesion in spleen with accompanying intraabdominal lymphadenopathy. Histoligical features were consistent with HMR in spleen and liver specimens.
