This paper describes four cases of localized bullous separation of Descemet's membrane that occurred from more than 1 year to 7 years after cataract surgery. In all eyes, fluid resembling a hypopyon (pseudohypopyon) filled the space created by the separation. In three cases, the fluid was white. In one of these, pathological examination of the fluid showed mostly necrotic but a few viable squamous epithelial cells. OBJECTIVES: To study the effects of nifedipine on the microcirculation in pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH).
METHODS: We observed the microcirculation in nailfold of 30 normal pregnant women and 76 cases of PIH. 20 mg nifedipine was given and nailfold microcirculation was observed after 30 minutes.

A 10-month-old, female Holstein-Friesian cow with tetralogy of Fallot died during surgery for ameliorating pulmonary stenosis. Necropsy revealed no fracture of bones. Glomeruloid hemangioma is a histologically distinctive cutaneous hemangioma that recently has been associated with POEMS syndrome. We report a further case in which POEMS syndrome was signaled by multiple eruptive angiomas of the glomeruloid type. Five cases of macerated stillborn fetuses with congenital syphilis were studied. Despite severe maceration with visceral autolysis, spirochetes could be easily detected using Warthin-Starry stains. Thirty-two eyes with uveal neovascularization at the ora serrata and pars plana were studied histopathologically. Chronic retinal detachment of various etiologies was the most frequently associated feature, present in 65% of the patients.
