OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic effects of acupotomy-injection with FENG Tian-you spinal manipulation (FSM) for treating cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR).
METHODS: Seventy-two patients with CSR were randomly divided into two groups (n = 36 respectively): treatment and control group. The patients in treatment group were treated with acupotomy-injection combined with FSM, and patients in control group were treated with traction. All the patients were followed up for 3 months after treatment and the therapeutic effects were evaluated.

The anterior endoscopic cervical microdecompression (AECM) of disc and foramen with added application of nonablative lower holmium laser energy for disc shrinkage (laser thermodiskoplasty) has proven to be safe, less traumatic, easier, and more efficacious than conventional methods with significant economic savings. It preserves spinal motion and provides a channel for spinal arthroplasty. It is an effective alternative or replacement for conventional open cervical spinal surgery for discectomy, and can decompress spinal stenosis and degenerative spine conditions.

We report the case of a 13-year-old boy presenting with profound bradycardia following minor trauma. Our patient had gastroschisis at birth and has moderate learning difficulties but is otherwise fit and well. Whilst playing at home he fell sustaining a minor cervical hyperextension injury. CASE DESCRIPTION: A 2-year-old alpaca was evaluated because of acute onset of cervical scoliosis.
CLINICAL FINDINGS: Physical examination revealed severe scoliosis of the caudal portion of the cervical vertebral column with a C-shaped curvature to the right side. No gait deficits were observed. Cervical radiography confirmed severe curvature of C4 to C6 but did not reveal any bony changes. Cerebrospinal fluid had high total protein concentration and extremely high nucleated cell count with a high proportion of eosinophils, suggesting parasitic infection.

Cervical stenosis and cervical spondylotic myelopathy are common disorders seen by many spine surgeons. Presentation can range from asymptomatic to myelopathy or myeloradiculopathy to lower extremity and gait problems attributed to lumbar disease. Various surgical procedures are practiced in the surgical management of this disease. Posterior cervical laminectomy is a familiar procedure and is the treatment of choice for multilevel disease. With the development of newer instruments and access devices, it has become possible to treat this problem through a minimally invasive approach.
