In this work, we present Co3S4-SnO2 supported polyvinylpyrrolidone-cellulose (PVPCS) nano-structure for Lidocaine degradation. The nanostructure was characterized by various techniques i.e. morphological and optical ones. The results have demonstrated that Co3S4-SnO2 nanocomposites were evenly supported on the PVPCS. Moreover, the photocatalysis performances of the catalysts were investigated under ultra-violet (UV) light irradiation. AIMS: Hip resurfacing arthroplasty (HRA) is an alternative to conventional total hip arthroplasty for patients with osteonecrosis (ON) of the femoral head. Our aim was to report the long-term outcome of HRA, which is not currently known.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Long-term survivorship, clinical scores and radiographic results for 82 patients (99 hips) treated with HRA for ON over a period of 18 years were reviewed retrospectively. The mean age of the 67 men and 15 women at the time of surgery was 40.8 years (14 to 64). Patients were resurfaced regardless of the size of the osteonecrotic lesion.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Adverse reactions to metal debris have been reported to be a cause of pain in metal-on-metal hip arthroplasty. We assessed the incidence of both symptomatic and asymptomatic adverse reactions in a consecutive series of patients with a modern large-head metal-on-metal hip arthroplasty.
METHODS: We studied the early clinical results and results of routine metal artifact-reduction MRI screening in a series of 79 large-head metal-on-metal hip arthroplasties (ASR; DePuy, Leeds, UK) in 68 patients. 75 hips were MRI scanned at mean 31 (12-52) months after surgery.

A biophysical model has been applied to describe the production of exchange chromosomal aberrations (dicentrics) in human lymphocytes by radiations of different qualities. Monoclonal antibodies have been induced that are capable of catalyzing specific hydrolysis of the Gly-Phe bond of peptide substrates at neutral pH with a metal complex cofactor.
