OBJECTIVE: To characterize contemporary workforce trends among physician assistants in otolaryngology-head & neck surgery in the United States.
METHODS: Longitudinal analysis of annual survey of the Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (SPAO-HNS) data, collected 2015 to 2024. The survey captured self-reported practice patterns, compensation models, and clinical responsibilities. Statistical analyses included linear and logistic regressions to evaluate temporal trends and differences by practice setting.

CONTEXT: The IUD once accounted for about half of contraceptive use among Navajo women but is now little used in this population, which has a high rate of unintended pregnancy. Identifying barriers to use--including those stemming from providers' IUD-related knowledge, attitudes and practices--could help expand use of the method.
METHODS: In 2000, 107 Navajo Area Indian Health Service providers who offer contraceptive services completed a mailed survey. Responses of women's health providers and other types of providers were compared, using the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel method.

Rather than using home phototherapy (HP), many pediatricians admit neonates to the hospital for the treatment of unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia. This study investigates the concerns and experiences of pediatricians related to HP use. A questionnaire was sent to 150 pediatricians in the Philadelphia, PA, area and 94 returned questionnaires.
