In 59 workers of metal, building and galvanizing industries a test of leucocytes migration inhibition was carried out. We modified this test so that it consists in that the whole blood was used with no isolated leucocytes, with no plexiglass chambers but with very thin capillaries and short incubation. The result of the test is obtained on the day it is carried out (after 6 hours). A study was made of the Harderian and lachrymal glands of fowls, pheasants, turkeys and pigeons. Accumulation of heterophils and plasma cells commenced soon after hatching, was well advanced by four weeks of age and was always greater in the Harderian than in the lachrymal glands. This report deals with a case of acute iron intoxication in a child in which acute and chronic gastrointestinal abnormalities developed as a consequence of severe intestinal infarction and corrosion. Following a witnessed lethal lightning strike of an adult male who was standing outside in a storm, numerous Lichtenberg figures were identified upon external examination of the body. Sectioning across multiple areas of linear erythema in the figures showed no subcutaneous hemorrhage.
