The use of psychoactive prescription drugs (PPDs) by young people is part of a broader worldwide trend towards the consumption of pharmaceuticals to improve social, emotional, and sexual performance. Endomyocardial fibrosis (EMF) is a tropical cardiomyopathy reported in many tropical countries.
