Urethral instability (pressure variations of more than 15 cm. water during bladder filling) was noted in 12 of 34 women with bladder instability and 13 of 139 with a stable bladder. Of the patients 10 had urge, 5 mixed and 8 genuine stress incontinence, while 1 had enuresis and 1 had recurrent cystitis. A clear correlation between urethral pressure variations and electromyographic fluctuations in the anal and/or urethral sphincter was found in 14 of 17 patients. OBJECTIVES: To assess urinary symptoms in adult women with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), as feminizing surgery in infancy is current standard practice for CAH and one of the indications for surgery is to reduce urinary symptoms.
PATIENTS, SUBJECTS AND METHODS: In a case-control study, 19 women with CAH, of whom 16 had had childhood feminizing genital surgery, and age-matched women with no CAH, were evaluated. Subjects and controls completed the Bristol Female Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (BFLUTS) questionnaire.

PURPOSE: To report on the long-term urinary morbidity among prostate cancer patients with a prior history of a transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) treated with high-dose 3-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT).

We describe the novel management of a 68-year-old postmenopausal woman with urethral mucosal prolapse, stress urinary incontinence, and significant pelvic organ prolapse. Successful surgical management of her urethral prolapse was achieved using a retropubic suburethral sling with urethral fixation at the time of anti-incontinence and pelvic reconstructive surgery.

Fifty women, aged between 37 and 76 years, underwent a bladder sling operation for urinary incontinence using porcine dermis. All patients had undergone previous unsuccessful vaginal surgery for genuine stress incontinence and had stable bladders.
