INTRODUCTION: Hypospadias is a common congenital abnormality typified by a proximally placed ectopic urethral meatus along the ventral surface of the penis. Androgen receptor (AR) and estrogen receptor (ER) expression in the hypospadias tissues may be altered in hypospadias.
