PURPOSE: To evaluate the bone contact percentage around a proprietary high-temperature dual-etched (DE) implant surface (Osseotite) versus implants with machined, hydroxyapatite (HA), and titanium plasma-sprayed (TPS) surfaces.

Experimental melanin-induced uveitis (EMIU) is a rodent model of acute anterior uveitis which was described in 1993. We investigated strain susceptibility, and age and gender characteristics of the model, undertook histological and immunohistochemical studies to investigate underlying cellular mechanisms, and examined several treatment options. Rats were immunized with bovine ocular melanin (250 microg), and disease was followed by slit lamp examination. Lewis, Fischer 344 and Porton rats were found to be susceptible to EMIU, whereas Wistar-Furth, DA, and Hooded Wistar strains were resistant.

The indocyanine green (ICG) angiographic features of classic choroidal neovascularization (CNV) were evaluated in the 66 consecutive patients (70 eyes) by ICG angiography using the scanning laser ophthalmoscope. We investigated the pathogenesis of soft-tissue contracture in club foot, using immunohistochemistry to study 41 biopsy specimens and 12 normal deltoid ligaments from cadavers. Five biopsy specimens were studied by electron microscopy (EM) to determine the presence of myofibroblasts. All 41 specimens of club foot stained positively for vimentin as against only one of the 12 control specimens. INTRODUCTION: To compare indocyanine green (ICG) sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping between conventional laparoscopy and robot-assisted surgery in apparent early-stage endometrial cancer.
METHODS: Consecutive patients undergoing minimally invasive surgery with SLN mapping at the University of Naples Federico II between January 2023 and December 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. Intracervical ICG was injected according to a standardized protocol; reinjection and side-specific pelvic lymphadenectomy were performed in case of persistent mapping failure.
