Stereotactic body radiation therapy is a novel treatment option for refractory ventricular tachycardia. We present a case of ventricular tachycardia, with epicardial origin located in large inferior infarct scar, that recurred despite treatment with multiple antiarrhythmic drugs, catheter ablation, and cardiac sympathetic denervation. Three patients with delayed radiation optic neuropathy after radiation therapy for parasellar neoplasms underwent magnetic resonance imaging. The affected optic nerves and chiasms showed enlargement and focal gadopentetate dimeglumine enhancement. The magnetic resonance imaging technique effectively detected and defined anterior visual pathway changes of radionecrosis and excluded the clinical possibility of visual loss because of tumor recurrence.

A third local excision was followed by a course of postoperative radiation therapy (64.8 Gy [6480 rad] in 36 treatments).
