INTRODUCTION: Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) is a commonly performed spine surgery procedure used to treat lumbar conditions such as degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, and spinal deformities. Traditionally, it has been performed using open and mini-open surgical techniques. Recently, however, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted ALIF have gained attention for their potential benefits, including shorter recovery times, fewer complications, and improved patient outcomes. However, the safety, effectiveness, and long-term outcomes of these newer techniques remain to be fully compa

Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) involves the compression of vascular or neural structures between the first rib and the scalene muscles that leads to diverse symptoms. Traditional surgical treatments include transaxillary or supraclavicular first rib resection, but robotic first rib resection is increasingly popular because of enhanced visualization of the thoracic inlet. We report a unique complication of spontaneous bilateral second rib fractures after robotic bilateral first rib resection in a 34-year-old man with neurogenic and venous TOS. As robotic TOS surgery becomes more common, recogni

Robotic spine surgery is a rapidly developing field and offers several advantages for both patients and the surgical team. Several studies have shown greater accuracy in screw placement, less blood loss, less radiation exposure, and fewer reoperations compared with freehand procedures. Here the authors present the case of a 40-year-old woman with a herniated disc at level L4-5 and spondylolysis at level L5-S1. They performed robot-assisted spondylodesis using midline cortical screws in both levels due to foot-drop paralysis and refractory pain and present their workflow for robot-assisted spon

BACKGROUND: The application of robotic adrenalectomy (RA) is increasing. However, there is still controversy over whether RA is more feasible than laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) for large adrenal tumors (LATs).
METHODS: This meta-analysis compares the efficacy and safety of RA versus LA for LATs. A systematic literature search of PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, WANFANG database, and other databases (up to December 2024) was performed to identify studies comparing RA and LA. Data were analyzed using the Cochrane Collaboration's Review Manager (RevMan) 5.3 software.
RESULTS: Overa
