Ectopic kidney is a rare and challenging pathology causing amongst others incontinence and recurrent urinary tract infections. Those pathologies may in certain cases be an indication for surgery. BACKGROUND: The Clenched Fist Syndrome (CFS) is a type of a psychiatric disorder, in which the patients show flexion finger contractures. Although no organic etiology can be identified, the syndrome in most cases presents with pain and paradoxical stiffness.
CASE PRESENTATION: We, herein, report the case of a 52-year old woman with a 6-month history of progressive hand flexion contracture and intermittent numbness in the first 3 fingers, mimicking carpal tunnel syndrome. On examination, all digits, including the thumb, were held in a tight flexion at the metacarpal and interphalangeal joints.

Cutaneous vasculitides present with typical clinical signs depending on the size and distribution of the affected vessels. Since there are no large vessels in the skin, giant cell arteritis and Takayasu's arteritis only rarely lead to cutaneous symptoms. The classical systemic polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) is very rare. More frequent is cutaneous PAN presenting with a typical localized livedo racemosa and palpable subcutaneous nodules. The ANCA-associated vasculitides, which belong to the small vessel vasculitides, usually show systemic involvement and manifest on the skin with a diverse picture.

Scleral lenses are being prescribed for the management of corneal irregularity, uncomplicated refractive error, and ocular surface disease. There are many potential therapeutic uses of scleral lenses in addition to providing similar benefits as corneal gas permeable lenses. Scleral contact lenses are a valuable therapeutic tool for patients with ocular surface disease as these lenses protect the ocular surface, provide continuous corneal hydration while providing optimal visual correction, and are often used in conjunction with other therapies.
