OBJECTIVE: The incidence of obesity has been increasing, with recent data indicating that the age-adjusted mean body mass index (BMI) is close to 30 kg/m2 in the United States. Prior studies have raised concerns for an increased incidence of chronic venous insufficiency in the obese population. We aimed to build on current knowledge by assessing the effects of BMI on the initial presentation and outcomes after intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) luminal area-guided stenting in patients presenting with quality of life (QOL)-impairing chronic iliofemoral venous obstruction (CIVO).

The clinical benefits of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusion (CTO) is still controversial. The purpose of this study is to assess the quantitative therapeutic benefits of successful PCI for CTO from the clinical data acquired by myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). Consecutive 42 patients, who were successfully revascularized of CTO between August 2013 and March 2018, were examined. A stress MPI was performed before CTO PCI and at follow-up, and the changes in quantitative gated and perfusion single photon emission computed tomography parameters were examined. T

BACKGROUND: Transplant renal artery stenosis (TRAS) may lead to graft dysfunction and failure. Progressive deterioration of renal allograft function may be exacerbated by contrast-induced nephrotoxicity during iodine contrast administration for renovascular imaging of allografts. We present our institutional experience of endovascular management for TRAS using CO2 digital subtraction angiography (CO2-DSA) and balloon angioplasty to manage failing renal transplants.
METHODS: Four patients with renal allografts from March 2017-May 2018 were referred for graft dysfunction and pending renal trans

BACKGROUND: Endovascular management of complex aortoiliac occlusive disease (AIOD) has been described as a viable alternative to open surgical reconstruction. To date, few studies have directly compared the 2 techniques. We therefore, evaluated short and mid- term outcomes of open and endovascular therapy in TASC II D AIOD patients.
METHODS: TASC II D patients undergoing treatment between January 2009 and December 2016 were retrospectively reviewed. Patient demographics, clinical data, and outcomes (complications [technical and systemic] and graft patency) were collected. The primary outcome

BACKGROUND: Diminished pelvic arterial flow as a result of intentional coverage/embolization of internal iliac arteries (IIA) during isolated endovascular common iliac artery aneurysm (CIAA) repair or endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms (EVAR) may result in symptomatic pelvic ischemia. Although generally well tolerated, in severe cases, pelvic ischemia may manifest as recalcitrant buttock claudication, vasculogenic impotence, or perineal, vesicle, rectal, and/or spinal cord ischemia. Branched graft technology has recently become available; however, many patients are not candidate

OBJECTIVE: Open surgical repair for acute aortic pathologies involving the visceral vessels is associated with morbidity and mortality rates of 40% to 70% and 30% to 60%, respectively. Due to these poor outcomes, the application of fenestrated/branched endovascular aortic repair (F/B-EVAR) has been expanded in this setting; however, durability remains unknown. The purpose of this analysis was to describe outcomes after F/B-EVAR for acute aortic disease.
METHODS: A single center retrospective review of all F/B-EVARs for acute aortic disease was completed. Primary end points included mortality

BACKGROUND: Patent portal vein (PV) and adequate portal inflow is essential for successful living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). In extensive portal vein thrombosis (PVT) patients, however, complete PV thrombectomy is not feasible particularly at intrapancreatic portion, and subsequently portal flow steal through preexisting sizable collaterals or rethrombosis can occur. To overcome those problems, we introduced interruption of sizable collaterals and intraoperative cine-portogram (IOP), which is useful for diagnosis and treatment of residual PVT and sizable collaterals.
METHODS: Fourtee

OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of excimer laser atherectomy (ELA) with adjunctive percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) versus PTA alone for treating patients with chronic peripheral artery disease with femoropopliteal bare nitinol in-stent restenosis (ISR).
BACKGROUND: Femoropopliteal stenting has shown superiority to PTA for lifestyle-limiting claudication and critical limb ischemia, although treating post-stenting artery reobstruction, or ISR, remains challenging.
METHODS: The multicenter, prospective, randomized, controlled EXCITE ISR
