A simple, rapid, precise, and selective first derivative spectrofluorimetric (1D) technique was suggested for repaglinide (REP) and febuxostat (FEB) simultaneous quantitation in pure, spiked human plasma samples and dosage forms. The approach was based on the first derivative transformation of the conventional fluorescence emission spectra. Strawberry anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum species is an important disease that may cause significant economic losses. Based on multilocus sequence analyses and morphological characteristics, 64 isolates from strawberry anthracnose samples collected from nine Chinese provinces and municipalities were identified as three species: Colletotrichum fructicola (29 isolates), Colletotrichum siamense (23 isolates), and Colletotrichum nymphaeae (12 isolates). Isolates of C. siamense showed strong aggressiveness to fruit and leaves. Isolates of C. fructicola showed strong aggressiveness to crowns.

Carisbamate (RWJ-333369) is a novel neuromodulator, initially developed by SK Biopharmaceuticals (Fairlawn, NJ), under development by Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development (La Jolla, CA). The aim of the study was to choose a suitable base for the topical application of pentacaine chloride and heptacaine chloride. Both local anaesthetics were processed into two hydrophilic creams, two hydrophobic creams and one hydrophobic ointment as well as into three hydrogel bases. The assumption that the rate of the release of both local anaesthetics from hydrogel bases is greater than from cream bases has been fully confirmed.
