PURPOSE: To evaluate the blood flow changes of the central retinal artery measured with color Doppler imaging (CDI) in infants receiving intravitreal aflibercept (IVA) for treatment of type 1 retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
METHODS: Patients with type 1 ROP were assessed prospectively by CDI following IVA. Color Doppler imaging was used to measure the peak systolic velocity, end diastolic velocity (EDV), pulsatility index (PI), and resistivity index (RI) of the central retinal artery (CRA) before IVA injection and 1 hour, 1 week, and 1 month after injection.

Conventional wastewater treatment technologies exhibit limited cost-effectiveness for dye removal. This study investigated the decolorization efficacy and adsorption behavior of spent mushroom substrate (SMS) and its aqueous extract (SMS-T) toward ten synthetic dyes, both before and after thermal treatment. Shape perception is central to human vision, but its developmental origins remain unknown. Here we show that shape perception develops from three ingredients: (1) generic fitting systems, (2) embodied visual experiences, and (3) biologically plausible sensors. We first show that generic fitting models (transformers) trained on embodied visual experiences change from color-based to shape-based visual systems.
