We present a newborn infant with right atrial isomerism, complex congenital heart malformation and anomalous pulmonary venous connection, reliably diagnosed by 2-D Doppler color echocardiography. The infant had no significant obstetric antecedents. The neonatal clinical picture included cyanosis, heart murmur and respiratory distress. In a prospective audit of consecutive referrals for fetal echocardiography between 1997 and 2003, we documented all instances of an abnormal arrangement of the abdominal vessels. We then established the structure of the heart in these fetuses, noting any extra-cardiac associations, and the eventual outcomes. The chemically catalyzed production of fructose syrup from high concentrations of glucose is crucial for the food industry and biorefining. In this work, a single crystal catalyst was synthesized via protective desilication of zeolite while incorporating indium. Glucose was isomerized in methanol at concentrations as high as 33 wt % before being hydrolyzed with water.
