PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to determine whether [(68)Ga]DOTATATE PET/MRI with diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) can replace or complement [(18)F]FDG PET/CT in patients with radioactive-iodine (RAI)-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC).
METHODS: The study population comprised 12 patients with elevated thyroglobulin and a negative RAI scan after thyroidectomy and RAI remnant ablation who underwent both [(18)F]FDG PET/CT and [(68)Ga]DOTATATE PET/MRI within 8 weeks of each other. The presence of recurrent cancer was evaluated on a per-patient, per-organ and per-lesion basis.

A 62-year-old man was diagnosed with a moderately differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma in the proximal stomach. A staging 18F-FDG PET/CT showed an intensely FDG-avid gastric mass, as well as a mildly FDG-avid misty nodular mesentery. After 3 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, a follow-up PET/CT showed partial response of the gastric primary, with increase in the size of nodules in the mesentery and increased FDG uptake, raising concern of secondary malignancy. Biopsy of the mesentery revealed xanthogranulomatous inflammation, consistent with sclerosing mesenteritis.

BRAF inhibitors vemurafenib and dabrafenib have become the standard of care for treatment of stage IV metastatic melanoma harboring a BRAF mutation. Panniculitis is a rare but known adverse side effect of these agents and presents with tender erythematous nodules. These nodules may demonstrate uptake on F-FDG PET/CT, which may mimic metastatic disease in patients undergoing treatment. We present a case of BRAF inhibitor-induced panniculitis in a patient with stage IV metastatic melanoma and discuss the imaging findings on F-FDG PET/CT.

BACKGROUND: Warthin's tumor or cystadenolymphoma (CAL) is a benign salivary gland tumor occurring almost exclusively in the parotid gland. CALs of other locations are rare.
CASE PRESENTATION: We report a laryngeal CAL detected in a positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) performed for breast cancer follow-up. The tumor was successfully treated by transoral surgery.
DISCUSSION: Only 14 cases of laryngeal CAL are reported worldwide. These cases confirmed our experience of an uncomplicated and mostly successful transoral resection.
CONCLUSION: CALs of the larynx are very rare

We here present the staging contrast-enhanced F-FDG PET/CT images of a 53-year-old woman with right breast cancer. Apart from the F-FDG avid primary breast tumor, F-FDG avid thyroiditis, F-FDG avid right paratracheal tubercular lymphadenitis, and non-F-FDG avid pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor were seen on PET/CT. All the lesions were confirmed with fine-needle aspiration cytology. This interesting case demonstrates a spectrum of true-positive, false-positive, and false-negative lesions on a single F-FDG PET/CT examination.
