A 51-year-old female presented with traumatic C6-7 subluxation associated with C-7 fracture due to an automobile accident. She underwent pedicle screw fixation at C-6, C-7, and T-1 for stabilization of the spinal column. A neuronavigation system was used to obtain accurate placement of the pedicle screws. The patient recovered well without further neurological compromise. Postoperative cervical radiography showed reasonable restoration of the vertebral column without delayed kyphotic deformity.

Coronal fracture of the body of the hamate with associated dorsal subluxation of the bases of the fourth and fifth metacarpals is rare. Two cases of this injury with and without disruption of the dorsal carpometacarpal ligaments treated with open reduction and internal fixation are reported. Oblique roentgenographic views with the hand pronated 30 degrees from the true lateral were helpful in the assessment of the fracture.

Osseous rupture of the ulnar lateral ligament of the thumb is a strain fracture;l hence, it is important for stability, but it is also equally important for the articular surface. Anatomic reposition and stable fixation are essential for best possible rehabilitation. In analogy to other strain fractures, traction belting is the therapy of choice. In a 10 years period (1971 to 1980) 648 patients underwent 811 operations because of ligamentous lesions of the knee joint. 63.3% of them occurred due to sports activities. 41.2% of these patients were 15 to 30 years of age.
