CONCLUSION: Results from a database for sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) demonstrate no correlation between laboratory findings, treatment, and outcome in 400 patients. OBJECTIVES: Cisplatin is an effective anticancer drug that can induce cochleotoxicity in up to 50 to 60% of treated patients. However, the vestibulotoxic potential of cisplatin remains unclear.
