Radiography is commonly used to find bullet pathways in forensic pathology. In the case presented here, a man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and one bullet could not be traced. A radiograph was used to find the bullet and showed an interesting bullet pathway. By observing the bullet pathway on a radiograph, sometimes we can surmise the victim's body posture at the time of an incident.

A double-blind, placebo controlled study with 10 mg per day dihydroergotamine in patients with orthostatic hypotension induced by treatment with psychotropic drugs showed a significant effect in preventing immediate drop in blood pressure after standing up. Preventing an abrupt drop in blood pressure with change of posture hinders symptoms of dizziness and faintness and helps activating patients who otherwise prefer to stay in bed.

Occult prolapse, a syndrome of pelvic pain, sacral ache, dyspareunia, irritable bladder, but not severe dysmenorrhoea, has been studied in 180 young parous women. Organic disease was not present, but the uterus was very mobile and descended easily down the vagina. The pain was worse in the upright posture and was relieved by lying down, supporting, elevating or removing the uterus in 87% of cases.

The position of the 1st cervical vertebra is investigated in relation to special anomalies of the craniofacial morphology. Two extremely different types like prognathism and progenia are chosen to demonstrate an interdependence. The latter is probably caused by a different head posture which in itself is influenced by the maxillo-facial anomalies. With the aid of the literature the findings can be explained on a functional basis.

This case report is about the combined use of modified electroconvulsive treatment and an atypical antipsychotic drug, olanzapine, in the treatment of a 20-year-old man with chronic and refractory catatonic stupor. This patient, with a preexisting diagnosis of autism, posturing, nonverbal communication, and contracture of lower extremities, displaying mutism, akinesia, and an extreme level of rigidity, waxy flexibility, and posturing, was diagnosed as with catatonic stupor. After hospitalization, the disease had progressed despite the treatment with an atypical antipsychotic drug, olanzapine.

Postural stability was compared between individuals with mild and moderate Alzheimer's dementia and healthy older adults, using the Sensory Organization Test. Gastroesophageal reflux is a common occurrence in infancy. The most severe complications of reflux include torticollis, opisthotonus, and paroxysmal dystonic posture (known as the Sandifer complex). Ischemic injury to the somatosensory ventrobasal (VB) thalamus is strongly associated with central post-stroke pain (CPSP), yet preclinical models of selective focal ischemic VB injury remain limited. Here, we developed a mouse model of ischemic VB stroke using photothrombotic occlusion.
