Inborn or acquired stenosis of the prepuce is usually relieved by surgery. From the beginning of the nineties work was published where for treatment a steroid cream applied locally is used. The authors describe the method and achieved results of local non-surgical treatment using a corticoid cream made in the Czech Republic. The authors treated phimosis in a total of 44 boys. In 26 the phimosis was congenital, in 18 it was acquired. In the group of inborn phimoses cure was achieved in 100% and in the group of acquired affections in 72%. Side effects in the treatment of mycosis fungoides with topical nitrogen mustard include allergic contact dermatitis, hyperpigmentation, urticaria, and erythema multiforme-like dermatitis. In the absence of a definitively curative medical treatment of distal ulcerative colitis, the major objective of drug therapy is to optimize the quality of life by rapidly suppressing the symptoms of inflammation, without introducing major side effects. A four month old girl initially presented with a crusted nodule on her right index finger. Evaluation was unremarkable for infectious causes or malignancy. She ultimately developed similar hyperkeratotic plaques and papules of the right hand and ultimately linear hyperpigmented patches of her arms and legs. Blood loss from split-thickness skin graft donor sites may be significant. Various topical agents have been used to decrease this blood loss, including thrombin and epinephrine solutions of varying concentrations. We describe a K-Y jelly/epinephrine mixture that serves both as a lubricant for the dermatome and as a hemostatic agent. This mixture, in comparison with other topical agents, produces rapid hemostasis and offers the advantages of easy use, ready availability, and low cost. The blood loss savings based on this hemostatic technique is quantifiable and significant.

Seventeen trials involving 5737 sheep were conducted to test the efficacy of ivermectin jetting fluid (30 ppm in water) for the control of blowfly strike when applied to sheep either by standard hand jetting or through an automatic jetting race. Sheep were observed for up to 14 weeks after treatment and all strikes recorded. An ivermectin-based jetting fluid was assessed for its efficacy in the prevention of blowfly strike and treatment of lice in long-wooled sheep. The ivermectin concentrate was diluted to 0.03 mg/mL and applied via a standard hand jetting technique. In insectary studies, using laboratory-reared Lucilia cuprina, sheep jetted with ivermectin were protected from induced breech and body strikes for 18 weeks after treatment. Systemically administered carbonic anhydrase inhibitors lower intraocular pressure (IOP) by decreasing aqueous production.
