This report describes the histopathological changes in the temporal bone of a 71-year-old man who died of meningitis and epidural abscess complicated by primary squamous cell carcinoma of the middle ear. In the Kiel-classification of non-Hodgkin lymphomas a distinction is made between low and high grade malignancy. Mycosis fungoides is listed among the low grade malignant lymphomas because in the cellular infiltrate small lymphoid cells are predominant. Two cases are reported in which the cellular infiltrate of the cutaneous lesions consists mostly of large lymphoid cells resembling lymphoblasts and immunoblasts indicating a high grade malignancy. This type of cellular infiltrate appeared as a blastic transformation from mycosis fungoides very early in one case and at a later stage in another.

Clinical observations in 25 patients with cancer of the gallbladder are described. Tumor of this localization, as a rule, is characterized by a latent course with symptoms of cholelithiasis, chronic cholecystitis, manifested by jaundice and signs of neoplasia only ar later stages. Special attention is given to a frequent association of gallbladder cancer with an acute inflammatory process. The prophylaxis against gallbladder cancer is early surgery for cholelithiasis.

The length and radiologic type of tumor, esophageal axis and azygogram were examined in 208 patients with carcinoma of the thoracic esophagus who underwent esophageal resection from 1965 to 1975. An histologic examination was performed on all resected specimens. These examinations were used as diagnostic aids to determine the resectability of esophageal carcinoma before surgery. BACKGROUND: Metastasis development in bladder cancer patients without any evidence of muscle invasion is known as metastatic non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (mNMIBC). Given its recent recognition, this condition is largely underexplored. The objective of our study was to analyze the baseline characteristics, metastatic patterns, and survival outcomes of this condition based on different histology subtypes.
