A 69 year-old woman visited our hospital with a chief complaint of macrohematuria in April 2004. She was diagnosed with bladder tumor. She underwent transurethral resection ofbladdar tumor three times and right partial ureterectomy for ureteral tumor following primary bladder carcinoma. We report a case of ovarian malignant intermediate-type trophoblastic tumor in a clinically normal, nonpregnant 4-year-old rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta). Endometrial carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor of the female genital tract in the Western world. Approximately 80% of cases are well- to moderately differentiated (endometrioid) adenocarcinomas, which are confined to the uterine corpus at diagnosis, and thus most can be cured. This study aimed to evaluate MR as an imaging modality for the assessment of myometrial and cervical invasion in endometrial carcinoma and for the assessment of parametrial and lymph node involvement in cervical carcinoma. BACKGROUND: Cutaneous melanoma is a primary tumour that rarely produces intraocular metastases. We report on a 47-year-old woman who was referred to our outpatient department because of anisocoria.
METHODS: A cutaneous melanoma of the upper left arm had been excised 21 months ago with subsequent polychemotherapy for lymph node involvement. Visual acuity and intraocular tension were normal. INTRODUCTION: Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) regroups the hemolytic and uremic syndrome (HUS) and thrombocytopenic thrombotic purpura (TTP). OBJECTIVE: To analyse the outcome of various treatments for vulvar cancer and to investigate the characteristics of the recurrence and metastasis.
METHODS: A total of 309 patients with carcinoma of vulva were analyzed retrospectively.

This article reviews the use of selective lymphadenectomy, otherwise known as sentinel lymph node biopsy, as a clinical alternative in patients with malignant melanoma. This represents a compromise between the two traditional treatment modalities, elective lymph node dissection or observation of the regional nodal basin followed by therapeutic lymph node dissection once disease becomes clinically apparent.

Similar to other tumor entities, complete tumor removal with an adequate safety margin in all three dimensions (the oral margin, the aboral margins and the tumor bed) must be the primary aim of any surgical approach to carcinoma of the upper gastrointestinal tract. The same goal has to be achieved in the area of the lymphatic drainage. All positive nodes and nodes with a so-called 'microinvolvement' have to be removed together with the primary tumor. The safety margin of lymphadenectomy can be estimated by the lymph node ratio, i.e., the ratio between the number of removed and positive nodes.

Between 1989 and 1994 17 patients with carcinoma of the soft palate were treated in Department of Otolaryngology, Białystok.
