Although BCL2 mutations are reported as later occurring events leading to venetoclax resistance, many other mechanisms of progression have been reported though remain poorly understood. PURPOSE: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) can be imaged with positron emission tomography (PET), but existing PET radiopharmaceuticals have limited diagnostic accuracy. Vascular adhesion protein-1 (VAP-1) is an endothelial cell surface molecule that controls leukocyte extravasation into sites of inflammation. However, the role of inflammation-induced VAP-1 expression in IBD is still unclear. Therefore, this study investigated the utility of VAP-1-targeted [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-Siglec-9 positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) for assessing inflammation in two mouse models of IBD.

Alcohol metabolism causes an excessive accumulation of liver lipids and inflammation, resulting in liver damage. The yellow pigments monascin (MS) and ankaflavin (AK) of Monascus purpureus-fermented rice were proven to regulate ethanol-induced damage in HepG2 cells, but the complete anti-inflammatory and anti-fatty liver mechanisms in the animal model are still unclear. This study explored the roles of MS and AK in improving alcoholic liver injury.
