Rearrangements involving the BCL6 gene are found in 30% of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCLs). We evaluated the clinical characteristics and prognoses of patients with B-cell lymphoma carrying 3q27 translocations. Among the 59 patients having 3q27 translocation, 10.9% had follicular lymphoma (FL) and 23.1% had DLBCL. It is of interest that the prognostic significance was not found between FL and DLBCL with 3q27 translocations. A retrospective study of children and adults suffering acute leukemias was made. Among those without any antecedents of exposure to mutagenic agents, 24% showed chromosomal abnormalities. In the group of individuals exposed to mutagenic agents, 82% showed chromosomal aberrations, that were related to changes of the type -5, -7, +8 or +21 in 84% of the cases.

A mechanism inducing genetic instability, termed aberrant somatic hypermutation (ASHM), has been described in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The purpose of this report is to describe biopsy-proven ocular sarcoidosis (OS) in a 67-year-old patient with a history of sarcoidosis and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Nonspecific posterior chorioretinal lesions in a patient with prior malignancy necessitated chorioretinal biopsy to rule out metastatic lymphoma. The association between sarcoidosis and malignancy remains unclear and can complicate management of similar patients with nonspecific posterior segment findings. Chorioretinal biopsy may, therefore, be required to rule out malignancy in patients with a leading history.

Primary uterine non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the cervix is rare. We report a 31-year-old woman presented with menolipsis for 8 weeks. Transvaginal ultrasonography and pelvic MRI detected a solid cervical mass invading the adjacent vaginal wall. The lesion showed obvious FDG uptake on PET/CT scan, and malignancy was considered. It proved to be primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the cervix by biopsy. After 6-cycle R-CHOP chemotherapy, no abnormal FDG uptake was found on another FDG PET/CT scan.

We report here a case of hepatic lymphoma and splenic aspergillosis in an elderly patient with diabetes mellitus, exhibiting hepatosplenic abscesses mimicking melioidosis. Immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of a diffuse hepatic large B-cell lymphoma. Our previous study showed that thyroid non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (TL) in an adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) non-endemic area were exclusively B-cell derived. The present study was carried out to examine whether TL in an ATL endemic area are also exclusively of B-cell type. We report a case of periaortic lymphoma mimicking Stanford type B acute aortic dissection treated for impending rupture by thoracic endovascular aortic repair. Although no endoleak was detected, the aneurysm enlarged continuously. Repeat computed tomography scans showed that an aortic aneurysm-like structure around the stent graft had enlarged irregularly. We studied the morphologic, immunologic and clinical features of 14 cases of primary non-lymphoblastic non-Hodgkin's lymphomas of the mediastinum.
