OBJECTIVES: To analyse the characteristics and outcome of patients with carcinoma associated with inverted papilloma, and find predictors of associated malignancy.
METHODS: The medical records of 228 patients who were diagnosed with IP between January 1990 and December 2010 were retrospectively reviewed. Out of 228 patients, 16 were also diagnosed with carcinoma. We evaluated their clinical characteristics, treatment modalities, and survival outcomes.

PURPOSE: Multiple primary colorectal cancers (MPCCs) are different from solitary colorectal cancers in many aspects, which are not well studied. The aim of this study was to clarify the clinicopathological features and prognosis of MPCCs.
METHODS: The data of 64 patients with MPCCs out of 2300 patients with colorectal cancers (CRCs) from January 2009 to December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. Stratified analysis was conducted based on subtypes and microsatellite status.

UNLABELLED: There is considerable variation within and between cancer centers in the practice of appendectomy as part of cytoreductive surgery for ovarian carcinoma and in the surgical staging of endometrial carcinoma. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence and the type of appendiceal pathology, the morbidity associated with appendectomy in gynaecologic cancer surgery.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a retrospective review of all cytoreductive surgery for ovarian carcinoma and surgical staging for endometrial carcinoma with appendectomy over a four year period.

This report presents a case of collision tumors of low-grade B-cell lymphoma and adenocarcinoma in the sigmoid colon of an 81-year-old man. All surgically resected regional mesenteric lymph nodes were found to be occupied by low-grade B-cell lymphoma, and one lymph node showed the presence of adenocarcinoma. The prognostic impact of different anatomical sites in patients with cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM) has been widely debated and requires further elucidation. This is the case of a 34 years old female patient, with known history of disseminated, invasive, ductal adenocarcinoma, grade II, of the left breast, who presented with two distinct localizations of metastasis affecting the orbits. One in the right orbit and a second one in the frontal sinuses, the latter infiltrating the cognate ethmoid, exerting pressure on the inner wall of the left orbit. We present the symptoms, the ophthalmic signs and the imaging techniques that aided the localization of these metastasis, while literature review shows that such combination is rare.

Iatrogenic immune suppression following renal transplantation is frequently associated with certain neoplasms, including vulvar carcinoma. We describe a patient with a vulvar carcinoma less than 1 mm depth of invasion and less than 3 mm superficial spread 12 years after renal transplantation. A simple vulvectomy was performed but 4 months later disease recurred in the inguinal nodes. The patient died 20 months later with progressive disease in the retroperitoneum and liver metastases.

Recently we observed 5 patients with multiple primary tumors who also had a history of occupational asbestos exposure. Two patients had a lung carcinoma and a colon carcinoma and 3 others had 2 distinct pulmonary carcinomas. Most of the attending physicians were unaware of the patient's occupational risk for asbestos exposure and the resultant health hazards. Therefore, we review the uses of asbestos and occupations at risk for asbestos exposure.
