The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of pair versus individual housing on performance, health, and behavior of dairy calves. Thirty female Holstein dairy calves were assigned to individual (n = 10) or pair housing (n = 10 pairs). The results showed that both treatments had a similar starter intake and average daily gain (ADG) during the preweaning period. OBJECTIVE AND BACKGROUND: Fatigue and insomnia are common debilitating symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis (MS). Negative subjective appraisals of symptoms may influence both insomnia and fatigue severity, but this relationship has not been examined among those with MS. The relationship between insomnia symptoms and both physical and cognitive fatigue were examined. Health-related self-efficacy, fatigue catastrophization, and rumination were examined as potential mediators of the relationship between insomnia symptoms and fatigue.

OBJECTIVE: Repetitive thoughts can be divided in two modes: abstract/analytic (decontextualized and dysfunctional) and concrete/experiential (problem-focused and adaptive). They constitute a transdiagnostic process involved in many psychopathological states but have received little attention in schizophrenia, as earlier studies only indexed increased ruminations (related to dysfunctional repetitive thoughts) without jointly exploring both modes.
