S179D prolactin (PRL) is an experimentally useful mimic of naturally phosphorylated human prolactin. Fasciolosis is recognized as an important human disease. Although frozen human follicles were shown to be viable after thawing, more than forty years, the low yield of primordial follicles after cryopreservation has greatly limited research in this area.
