PURPOSE: To analyze and compare the anatomical and functional outcome following cryotherapy or laser therapy for ROP.
METHODS: Between April 1991 and February 2002, 127 eyes with ROP (65 patients) were treated after threshold ROP was reached. Ten additional eyes with zone I disease were treated with prethreshold. All patients were followed up until a stable retinal situation occurred.

PURPOSE: To study the ocular growth pattern in cryotherapy- and laser-treated prethreshold retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and its effect on scleral rigidity.

We report a case of late-onset diffuse lamellar keratitis (DLK) in the left eye of a 56-year-old white woman 3 years after uneventful bilateral laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). Slitlamp examination revealed stage 3 DLK with diffuse, multifocal, dot-like, and granular haze in the interface. Few publications deal with the application in patients with recurrent glottic carcinomas after radiation failure. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: To determine the multi-use behavior of the G-probe that is traditionally marketed as a single-use cyclophotocoagulation instrument.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A diode laser equipped with a G-probe was used to perform cyclophotocoagulation of the ciliary body in 4 human cadaver eyes and 15 porcine eyes (1,750 mW x 2 seconds). OBJECTIVE: To determine the long-term visual acuity (VA) outcome of eyes with ambulatory vision (20/80 or better) that were treated with transscleral laser cyclotherapy.
DESIGN: Observational case series.
PARTICIPANTS: Twenty-one eyes of 21 patients who had been treated with laser cyclotherapy and who had been followed up at least 1 year.
