Atypical fibroxanthoma is an scarce skin tumor which usually develops in exposed areas of elderly persons. It is very uncommon in the external auditory canal, where it might be wrongly diagnosed as a sebaceous cyst or carcinoma. We report a case of atypical fibroxanthoma of the external auditory canal and review the current procedure for the differential diagnosis of these lesions.

The validity of a diagnostic classification scheme for the emotional adjustment reactions of children is tested, and empirical findings are offered in support of a descriptive approach to classification. Results validate clinical observations of four types of children commonly seen for emotional adjustment reactions. Further research is proposed to develop instruments for personality assessment that would be sensitive to these categories.

INTRODUCTION: The Levels of Personality Functioning Questionnaire (LoPF-Q) is a self-report tool developed to assess impairments in personality functioning, informed by Criterion A of the DSM-5 Alternative Model for Personality Disorders (AMPD) and the ICD-11 dimensional framework. The LoPF-Q 12-18 represents the adolescent version of the LoPF-Q Adult and has demonstrated robust psychometric properties in Turkish adolescent samples; however, the psychometric performance of the adult version in Turkish populations and its structural comparability across age groups remain underexplored.

Cryptosporidiosis remains a challenge in people with HIV despite its decreased incidence in developed countries. We report a case of severe diarrhea in a person with HIV where Gram stain findings prioritized cryptosporidium in the differential diagnosis.
