AIM: A case of primary cutaneous post liver transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) mimicking squamous cell carcinoma-in-situ is presented.
METHODS: Lesions mimicking SCC-in-situ were confirmed to be PTLD on histopathology and immunohistochemistry. Immunosuppression was gradually reduced and the lesions were successfully treated with 50 gray (Gy) in 25 fractions of radiotherapy.
RESULTS: There was no recurrence of lesions at 3 months follow-up.
CONCLUSION: Radiotherapy is an effective form of cutaneous directed treatment for localized PTLD.

We studied the presence of lymphangiogenesis in lymph node (LN) metastases of breast cancer. Lymph vessels were present in 52 of 61 (85.2%) metastatically involved LNs vs 26 of 104 (25.0%) uninvolved LNs (P<0.001). Furthermore, median intra- and perinodal lymphatic endothelial cell proliferation fractions were higher in metastatically involved LNs (P<0.001). This is the first report demonstrating lymphangiogenesis in LN metastases of cancer in general and breast cancer in particular.

Protein and ribonucleic acid (RNA) syntheses increase in the liver during Q fever, coincident with progressive increments in cortisol levels. Cell-free protein-synthesizing systems indicate that the pH 5 enzyme fraction was chiefly responsible for enhanced activity. Although the polysome profiles from normal and infected livers were similar, the number of liver ribosomes doubled during infection. There was a concomitant increase in orotate incorporation in the 28s, 18s, and 4s RNA species of infected liver.
