Within a context of a familial case of severe respiratory signs, with intolerance of sulfites and aspirin, we decided to study the clinical reliability of "in vitro" activation of human basophils in the presence of sulfites. Positivity of these tests for the three patients in the study (60, 73, and 66%) is confirmed by passive sensitization of donor basophils, which was destroyed when the serum was heated. We used 56 samples of heparinized blood of patients with asthma and/or allergic rhinitis, which were stimulated with Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus or gramineous pollen and anti-IgE in order to study the effect of furosemide on histamine release in basophils. The specific IgE response that appears in subjects immunized with tetanus toxoid does not induce hypersensitivity reactions at subsequent immunizations. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the diagnostic significance of basophil activation test (BAT) in anaphylaxis to non-ionic contrast media through testing the content of CD63, mast cell-carboxypeptidase A3 (MC-CPA3), and terminal complement complex SC5b-9 of the individuals by testing their levels in the normal immune group and the anaphylaxis groups to β-lactam drugs and non -ionic contrast media.

The sequential development of hepatic nodules induced by phenobarbitone (PB) has been studied in the C3H/He strain of mouse, a strain prone to the development of spontaneous liver tumours.
