After complexation of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) species with diethyldithiocarbamate (0.2 mmol/L), effective parameters of emulsification-based dispersive liquid microextraction procedure was optimized for its preconcentration in artificial seawater. We have optimized dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction to preconcentrate trace phenolic compounds after derivatization with 4-aminoantipyrine in artificial sea water for spectrophotometric determination. To rapidly quantify infectious enteroviruses polluting the coastal seawaters, a newly developed integrated cell culture and reverse transcription quantitative PCR (ICC-RT-qPCR) assay was used to identify the contamination by enteroviruses in winter seawater samples of Bohai Bay, Tianjin, China. This study assessed heavy metal contamination and ecological and human health implications in waters of mudskipper habitats along the southeastern Bay of Bengal coast, Bangladesh.
