Using patch-clamp techniques, we investigated the characteristics of the spontaneous oscillatory activity displayed by starburst amacrine cells in the mouse retina. Nonselective vitamin D receptor activators (VDRA), such as calcitriol and alfacalcidol, have been successfully used in the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) in hemodialysis.
