BACKGROUND: The aim of the investigation was to evaluate past 12-month suicidal behaviour (PSB) among adults in Cabo Verde.
METHODS: Data from 4,563 adults (mean age 41.4 years) that participated in the 2020 Cabo Verde STEPS survey were analysed.

The study aimed at investigating mental disorders in pathological gamblers. A sample included 73 pathological gamblers (PG) and 77 age- and sex-matched controls. This paper explores characteristics and post-hospital perceptions of patients who refused general hospital psychiatric inpatient treatment in a relatively young unit. It was found that after an initial significant increase of up to 9.6% per year in these patients, the average for the 6-year period studied was 6.2% of all admissions.
