We have developed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for pepsinogen group I and II (PG I.II) in human serum, and clinical significance of serum pepsinogen measurement was evaluated. Serum PG I.II levels in patients with gastric and duodenal ulcer were higher than those in normal healthy subjects. A new enzyme immunoassay (EIA), PREMIER Cryptococcal Antigen, was compared with latex agglutination (LA) for the detection and quantitation of circulating capsular polysaccharide antigen from Cryptococcus neoformans. We developed a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to detect circulating parasite antigen in humans with fascioliasis. The assay uses antibodies against Fasciola hepatica excretory secretory (ES) antigens.
