Formation of cementum, alveolar bone and periodontal ligament was produced in 18 sites on buccal surfaces of mandibular premolars and molars of 11 adult dogs near to sites of local delivery of prostaglandin E1 (PGE) for three weeks. This study investigated the inhibition effects of vitamin B6 (VB6) and choline on β-lactoglobulin (β-Lg) Maillard reaction by characterizing reaction indicators, structural alterations, glycation sites, and intermolecular interactions. The results indicated that lactose-induced glycation led to a reduction in the free amino group content of β-Lg and promoted the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs). With VB6 and choline supplementation, the content of free amino groups increased by 1.5-fold and 0.7-fold, respectively, while the inhibition rates of AGEs reached 28.28% and 7.42%.

Hair loss is a common and frequently distressing concern in the pediatric population. Diagnosis of hair loss in children can be challenging due to overlapping clinical features between conditions, resulting in the risk of delayed treatment. Ultraviolet-induced fluorescence dermoscopy (UVFD) is a novel supplement to polarized dermoscopy (PD) that can facilitate diagnosis of scalp disorders in children. We present two cases of hair loss (alopecia areata and tinea capitis) where utilization of UVFD revealed distinct trichoscopic features and facilitated accurate and efficient diagnosis.
