The experience of 104 total pelvic eviscerations, 78 operations on the reason of locally advanced colorectal cancer, was analyzed. The reconstructive stage included urine reservoir formation in all cases. Different organs were used for the purpose. Early postoperative complications were registered in 74,3% of patients. Postoperative death rate was 8,9%, in majority of cases as a reason of the anastomotic insufficiency. Of the recovered patients, 48 survived 1 year after the operation, 16 patients showed the 3 years survival and 6 patients had lived more then 5 years.

Presacral epidermoid cysts are rare benign tumors that can undergo malignant transformation. Here, we report a case of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) arising from a presacral epidermoid cyst that metastasized to the mesopharynx. The treatment of patients with vulvar cancer remains challenging for gynecologic oncologists. Up to 30 % of the cases are diagnosed in a clinical condition of irresectability, and some kind of strategy has to be taken into account beyond surgery. In this regard, a common and standard definition is critical to maximize oncological results and minimize complications after treatments. Each patient treatment must be tailored individually according to their clinical and biological features and to the setting in which they are dealing with.

Patients with small recurrent cervical carcinomas following radiation therapy may be salvaged with radical hysterectomy rather than exenteration. Between 1953 and 1993, 50 patients underwent radical hysterectomy for persistent (n = 18) or recurrent (n = 32) cervical cancer after primary radiotherapy. The mean age of the cohort was 44 years (range, 23-70). Histologic types were squamous in 46, adenocarcinoma in 3, and adenosquamous in 1.
