A 74-year-old man presented with right eye pain, swelling, photophobia, and vision loss 1 month following placement of an intravitreal dexamethasone implant (Ozurdex; Allergan, Irvine, CA) for intraocular inflammation refractory to topical therapy. A follow-up study of chronic conjunctivitis in arc welders in a foundry in Italy was conducted from 1979 up to 1989. Airborne dust concentration in the foundry often exceeded the TLV-TWA limit. Three patients with leukemia developed corneal toxicity while receiving high doses (3 g/m2) of systemic cytarabine. Meningiomas have a high frequency of occurrence as primary intracranial tumors. We report the case of a 16-year-old female who presented with a three-week history of persistent headache, vomiting, and photophobia.
