Analgesic and antipyretic effects of proglumetacin maleate (PGM), a new indomethacin (IND) derivative, were investigated in comparison with those of IND on an equimolar-dose basis. The suppression of phenylquinone-induced writhing in mice by PGM was about 0.8 and 2 times as potent as that by IND when given 1 and 4 hr before the phenylquinone injection, respectively. The current research was aimed to synthesize a phytomolecule, naringenin (NRG)-mediated silver nanoparticles (NRG-SNPs) to study their antifungal potential against Candida albicans (C. albicans) and Candida glabrata (C. glabrata). This is a case report on irritant contact dermatitis secondary to calcium oxide exposure during manual cloud seeding operations. A less hazardous substitute such as sodium chloride should be considered wherever possible. PURPOSE: To report the early success of the use of topical cyclosporine A 0.5% drops to treat Theodore's superior limbic keratoconjunctivitis (SLK).
DESIGN: A retrospective noncomparative case series.
PARTICIPANTS: Five patients diagnosed with SLK.
INTERVENTION: All five patients were treated with topical cyclosporine A 0.5% drops as primary or adjunctive therapy after treatment failure in some of prednisolone acetate 1% drops and topical silver nitrate 0.5% application. Topical cyclosporine A 0.5% drops were used four times a day in both eyes.

A new technique is introduced for the differential assay of arylsulphatases A and B in centrifuged homogenates of cultured human skin fibroblasts, using 4-methylumbelliferyl-sulphate as a substrate and AgNO3 as a selective inhibitor of arylsulphatase A. The method can be applied in the diagnosis of metachromatic leucodystrophy, mucopolysaccharidosis type VI and mucosulphatidosis. Normal arylsulphatase activities were found in fibroblasts derived from patients with mucopolysaccharidoses types II, III-A and IV, known to be caused by deficiencies of various other sulphatases.
