The toxicities and phototoxicities of methylene blue (MB), toluidine blue O (TBO) and Victoria blue BO (VBBO) in a murine mammary tumour cell line (EMT6-S) and a multidrug resistant (MDR) sub-line (EMT6-R) were measured and their efficacy against the resistant sub-line was compared to that of doxorubicin and cis-platinum. BACKGROUND: Given its potential antiviral activity, we investigated the effect of teriflunomide on EBV in patients with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS).
METHODS: Saliva samples were collected at home and analysed for EBV DNA presence in patients with RRMS treated with teriflunomide for ≥3 months.
RESULTS: The proportion of patients with detectable EBV in the teriflunomide cohort was lower than in the reference cohorts. The proportion of samples with EBV DNA or shedding from teriflunomide-treated patients was reduced relative to each reference cohort (P<0.0001; >5.8 virus copies/µL cut-off).

OBJECTIVES: This study aims to assess the efficacy of de-escalating from natalizumab (NTZ) to cladribine (CLAD), dimethyl fumarate (DMF), fingolimod (FTY), ponesimod (PONE), siponimod (SIPO) and teriflunomide (TERI).
MATERIAL AND METHODS: We analyzed data from 388 patients in the Austrian MS Treatment Registry who initiated NTZ treatment and remained on therapy for at least 3 months before switching to one of the moderately effective therapies within 1 year.
