Autopsy results on twenty-four patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and Kaposi's sarcoma were reviewed. At postmortem, 29 … um avium intracellulare (50%), Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (50%), bacterial pneumonia (33%), and herpes simplex virus (29%). Nearly 80% of the deaths were attributed to infection. In only one case was overwhelming Kaposi's sarcoma determined to be the cause of death.

The clinical features, microbiologic investigation, and response to therapy of three patients with Gardnerella vaginalis-associated balanoposthitis were studied. The purpose of this study was to evaluate patients who contracted the varicella zoster virus infection (VZV) following their allogeneic stem cell transplants. We retrospectively reviewed the incidence and the timing of varicella zoster virus (VZV) infections, including the clinical course, complications, and associated clinical risk factors. Febrile Ulceronecrotic Mucha-Habermann Disease in a 22-Month-Old Boy: A Case Presentation and Literature Review.

We report a 22-month-old boy with febrile ulceronecrotic Mucha-Habermann disease who presented with rapid progression of necrotic skin lesions and fever. The diagnosis was confirmed by histopathology, which revealed interface dermatitis, intraepidermal vesiculation, and erythrocyte extravasation.
