Randomized evidence breadth and comparative maturity of systemic targeted therapies for prurigo nodularis: a time-aligned systematic review and network meta-analysis.

OBJECTIVES: Randomized evidence for systemic targeted therapies in prurigo nodularis (PN) has expanded, but cross-trial differences limit valid comparison. We mapped randomized evidence and assessed comparative effects using exact Week-16 ≥ 4-point itch numerical rating scale response (NRS4). METHODS: MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL, and Web of Science were searched through 14 August 2026. Studies with extractable randomized arm-level Week-16 NRS4 data were synthesized using a fixed-effect contrast-based network meta-analysis. Risk of bias was assessed with RoB 2 and confidence with CINeMA. RESULTS

What is the psychological and cognitive impact of returning Alzheimer disease dementia research results to healthy research participants? a delayed-start randomised clinical trial protocol for the WeSHARE study (Washington University study of having Alzheimer disease research results explained).

INTRODUCTION: Returning research results that indicate risk of Alzheimer disease (AD) dementia-a disease for which no meaningful treatments or cure exist-to cognitively normal participants is controversial. AD is thought to begin many years before clinical signs and symptoms begin. During this time, individuals are cognitively normal but have biomarkers that indicate pathophysiological changes in the brain. With this study, we aim to evaluate the impact of returning research results on cognitively normal participants recruited from a longitudinal observational cohort on ageing at the Knight Al

Effectiveness of Physical Rehabilitation Interventions on Walking Capacity and Wearable Sensor-Derived Performance After Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.

Improvements in walking capacity after stroke do not always translate into increased real-world performance, highlighting a critical gap in promoting long-term health after rehabilitation. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effects of physical rehabilitation interventions, including exercise, behaviour change techniques (BCTs), and combined approaches, on wearable sensor-derived movement behaviours and walking capacity in people with stroke. Four databases (MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, and Scopus) were searched through May 2026 for randomized controlled trials comparing these i

Functional Outcomes After Intensive Blood Pressure Reduction in Deep and Lobar Intracerebral Hemorrhage.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Intensive blood pressure (BP) reduction may reduce the risk of poor functional outcomes in patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Whether these potential benefits apply similarly to lobar and deep ICH, 2 biologically and clinically distinct subtypes, remains uncertain. We tested the hypothesis that intensive BP reduction has differential effects on functional outcomes based on ICH location. METHODS: We performed a stepwise meta-analysis, stratified by ICH location, of 3 landmark randomized clinical trials of intensive BP reduction: Acute Cerebral Hemorr

Effects of Elastic Tape Associated With Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Male Individuals With Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Protocol for a 2-Arm, Assessor-Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial.

BACKGROUND: Individuals with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) may exhibit thoracoabdominal asynchrony, which reduces ventilatory efficiency. A novel intervention using elastic tape (ET) applied to the chest wall has been shown to acutely reduce thoracoabdominal asynchrony and dyspnea during exercise among individuals with COPD. We hypothesize that using ET in pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) may increase the benefits of PR in this population. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to evaluate the additional effects of ET on exercise capacity, symptoms of anxiety and depression, health-rel
