OBJECTIVE: To investigate the immunologic features of synovitis in patients with polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) and to assess the modifications induced by corticosteroids.

Recently, hemophiliac patients receiving factor VIII concentrate therapy have developed the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
