We describe a novel Malassezia species named Malassezia polysorbatinonusus, isolated from a Japanese patient with seborrheic dermatitis. The internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region of the isolate (LSEM 4845T) were only 94.7% identical to those of M. yamatoensis. In the present research, inter and intra genetic variability of 77 accessions belonging to 11 Thymus species were assessed using eight SRAP primer combinations. Hepatitis E virus (HEV) was detected in stools collected from wild boars in Italy, with an overall prevalence of 1.5 % (3/196). The sequence of a ~3.0-kb portion at the 3' end of the genome of one such strain, HEV/WB/P6-15/ITA, was determined.
