PURPOSE: Patients with pharmacoresistant refractory epilepsy may require epilepsy surgery to prevent future seizure occurrences. Conventional surgery consists of a large craniotomy with straight rigid tools with associated outcomes of morbidity, large tissue resections, and long post-operative recovery times.
