PURPOSE: We determined the pathological findings and clinical outcome of patients with pure embryonal carcinoma (EC) of the testis managed by primary retroperitoneal lymph node dissection.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: From January 1989 to February 1998, 45 patients with pure EC underwent primary retroperitoneal lymph node dissection at our institution. Angiocentric lymphoma of the face is a rare malignancy. During 11 years, only two patients were treated for a lymphoma of the face. UNLABELLED: We assessed the relationship of American Urological Association (AUA) urinary symptom score and tumor stage in men treated for localized prostate cancer.
METHODS: Participants in our study were found through urology and radiation oncology clinics, and all eligible patients were asked to take part. Multicentric breast cancer is thought to be a contraindication for sentinel-node biopsy by most clinicians. In a prospective study we took sentinel-node biopsy samples from 19 patients with multicentric invasive breast cancer with use of a blue dye and radiolabelled colloid mapping technique at the subareolar injection site. When the concept of sentinel lymph node biopsy was described in patients with melanoma, researchers quickly started to use lymphatic mapping techniques in breast cancer patients in an attempt to locate the sentinel node in the axilla. We have been performing mammary lymphoscintigraphy in this role for 6 years and have now studied 159 patients. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to determine whether pretreatment imaging with CT was prognostic for control of the primary site in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the supraglottic larynx.
METHODS: Pretreatment CT studies were obtained on 28 patients treated definitively with radiation therapy for supraglottic larynx cancer between 1991 and 1997. Follow-up ranged from 20-58 months.

This article reviews the diagnosis, staging, surgical, and adjuvant treatment of pancreatic and periampullary cancer based on personal experience covering 25 years. In spite of remarkable progress, especially in regard to staging and surgical treatment, the authors conclude that with the modalities currently available, timely diagnosis and definitive cure of this particular cancer is rare.
