Inflammatory pseudotumor of the bladder is a rare benign lesion of unknown etiology. We present a new case of pseudotumor of the urachus in a 16-year-old boy with no significant urologic history. This benign condition mimics invasive malignant tumors of the urinary bladder, and aggressive surgery is the basic treatment modality.

Umbilical cord blood (UCB) collected at delivery is a source of transplantable stem/progenitor cells; it represents an alternative to bone marrow to restore hematopoiesis in patients affected by malignant and non-malignant disease. In this study, we focus our interest on some peculiar infrastructural abnormalities detected in a pancreatic cancer case. Our electron microscopic observations underline the high plasticity of the pancreatic parenchyma cells.
